Automatic Systems for sample purification (Sample Clean Up System)

Power-Prep System for Dioxins/Furans (PCDD – PCDF – PCB PAH - PBDE) undoubtedly stands out among the dedicated systems for purification of microcontaminated materials.

The Power-Prep System, exclusively distributed in Italy by LabService, is an automatic chromatography system of purification of environmental, biological and food samples for research of Polychlorinated dibenzodioxins (PCDD, PCDF), Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH).

The computer controlled system works autonomously and automatically, running the whole chromatography process and including the phases of injection, washing, elution and collection of the different purified fractions.
All tubes and connections in contact with solvent and samples are in Teflon and in materials compatible with the solvents used in the process.

The system uses small prepacked Teflon columns of the following types: multilayered silica(acid, basic and neutral), alumina and carbon for PCB and PCDD analysis, and neutral silica for PAH analysis.

It is a modular system offering the possibility of further up-grading up to 5 different samples in parallel.

The Power-Prep System (by FMS- Fluid Management System) is quoted by SINAL as "automatic equipments for purification allowing to drastically reduce times for analysis ofPolychlorinated dibenzodioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans”within theEPA 1613 Method.
