With this specific device, LabScrvice in 2012-2013 ‘svas able for the first time in its long-time experience to face the problem of olfactory harassment. The main factors driving this need is the introduction of regulations and guidelines controlling odor emissions like the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control directive of the EU (IPPC) which includes odors. In fact this system allows the sudden and unattended sampling of odors, at the same time in which the problem occurs: in this way it solves thc attended sampling problems that start later than the event itsclL OdorPrcp will solve current odor sampling and legislation enforcement problems by allowing the immediate remote sampling at the moment the odor nuisance is detected, in compliance with the norm EN 13725.
After the automatic sampling is finished, the system allows sending a message and/or a phone call to the person in charge of the sampling, and programs the sample collection for subsequent analysis within the next 24-30 hours according to the norm.
It is like a citizen partner, able to help and collaborate on time once called. It’s a very simple, clever and strategic idea that allowed LabServicc Analytica to pass the Phascl of the European project Horizon2020.
